Thunder Bay Senators Darren Perkins Game Worn

This is one of the most prized posessions in my collection. This is an actual game-worn jersey from the Thunder Bay Senators. My hometown's short-lived run as the Ottawa Senators farm team.

I don't know too much about the player, but just the fact that I'm an Ottawa Senators fanatic and that I actually saw a bunch of TBay Senators games growing up makes this a special jersey for me. As far as I can tell Darren Perkins bounced around the WHL for 5 years until he was picked up by the Hampton Road Admirals of the ECHL. He then spent 2 years in the AHL and finally wound up in the Colonial Hockey League playing for the Sens. He hung up his skates at the end of the 1995-96 season.

Edmonton Oilers Bill Ranford Stanley Cup Championship Jersey

Ranford won his first Stanley Cup in 1988, as the backup to Grant Fuhr. However, in 1990 despite constant comparisons to the injured Fuhr, Ranford emerged as a first-rate goaltender, leading the Oilers to the Stanley Cup and winning the Conn Smythe Trophy (playoff MVP) in the process. It was the last Cup that the Edmonton Oilers dynasty would win. Ranford went on to play the next six seasons in Edmonton, before being dealt back to the Boston Bruins on January 11, 1996

San Jose Sharks Owen Nolan Jersey

He was drafted first overall by the Quebec Nordiques in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft, and played with them until 9 games into the 1995–1996 season (this was the first season the team played in Colorado as the "Avalanche"), when he was traded to the San Jose Sharks for defenceman Sandis Ozoliņš. During his tenure with the Sharks he was named captain, and registered his best career year in 1999–00, finishing with 84 points, and tied for second in the NHL with 44 goals.

Nolan has been chosen as an NHL all-star in 1991–92, 1995–96, 1996–97, 1999–00, 2001–02. In the 1997 National Hockey League All-Star Game, playing in front of his home crowd in San Jose, he performed a 'Called Shot', pointing to the top corner of the net during a breakaway and promptly scoring there against Dominik Hašek, to complete his hat trick. Earlier in the game, he set a record by scoring two goals eight seconds apart.

The Lanny McDonald Collection

After playing his junior hockey for the Medicine Hat Tigers, McDonald was selected fourth overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1973 NHL Amateur Draft. His professional career lasted from 1973 until 1989 during which time he played right wing for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Colorado Rockies and Calgary Flames. McDonald served as captain for both the Flames and the Rockies. His time with the Rockies was spent as a struggle for success, but he later led the Flames over the Montreal Canadiens to the Stanley Cup in 1989. It was his final season before retiring.

Always known as a grinding forward, he scored a memorable overtime goal (with both a fractured wrist and broken nose) for the Maple Leafs during the 1978 playoffs that eliminated the New York Islanders from the quarterfinals. His trade to Colorado halfway through the next season is still remembered as one of the highly criticised trades made by GM Punch Imlach that also saw Darryl Sittler and Tiger Williams leave the Leafs.

McDonald is also remembered for the 1983 season, in which he was in a scoring race with Wayne Gretzky for a substantial part of the season. He scored 66 goals that season. It was unusual for two reasons. It was one of the few times a player had more than twice as many goals as assists in a season. McDonald set a record that season because it was the most goals scored by a player without breaking the 100 point mark. McDonald added 32 assists for a total of 98 points that season. McDonald is regarded as a local hero in Calgary for bringing the cup to the Calgary Flames for the only time in the history of the organization. He is widely recognized for his iconic red walrus moustache, often caricatured in Dave Elston's hockey cartoons in the Calgary Sun.

McDonald currently lives just outside of Calgary and has been active as general manager and director of player personnel for the Canadian national men's hockey team. He also plays in the Oldtimers Hockey Challenge for charity.

WHA Winnipeg Jets Bobby Hull

Long unhappy because of his relatively poor salary in the period when he was hockey's preeminent superstar, Hull responded to overtures from the upstart World Hockey Association's Winnipeg Jets in 1972 by jesting that he'd jump to them for a million dollars, a sum then considered absurd. Gathering the other league owners together to contribute to the unprecedented amount on the grounds that inking such a major star gave instant credibility to the new rival league that was competing directly against the entrenched NHL, Jets' owner Ben Hatskin agreed to the sum, and signed Hull for a contract worth $1,000,000 over ten years. Although his debut with Winnipeg was held up in litigation by the NHL, Hull instantly became the WHA's greatest star, and with Swedish linemates Anders Hedberg and Ulf Nilsson formed one of the most formidable forward lines of the 1970s (known as "The Hot Line"), leading the Jets to two AVCO Cups during his time with the club. His best year was 1975, when he scored 77 goals to set a new professional mark.

Because he joined the rival league, Hull was not allowed to represent Team Canada in the 1972 Summit Series. However in 1974 he got his chance to play on the international stage when he suited up for the WHA team representing Canada in a series against the USSR national team. The WHA lost the series four games to one (three ending in a tie), despite Hull's seven goals. He was a key member of the Canadian squad that won the 1976 Canada Cup, though, scoring five goals in seven games.

2010-11 Bobby Butler Ottawa Senators

Prior to enrolling at the University of New Hampshire (UNH), Butler played three seasons with the Boston Jr. Bruins of the Eastern Junior Hockey League from 2003–2006, and five seasons with Marlborough High School from 2000–2005, making the varsity team as an eighth-grader. During the 2004-05 season, he helped both his high school team and junior team to championship titles. At Marlborough High School, Butler recorded 284 points in 116 games as well as breaking the school's record in goals scored during his junior year, tallying 58 goals in 25 games. Butler capped a standout four-year college career by being named the New Hampshire Wildcats' co-captain and finishing second among all NCAA Division I players in goals in 2009 - 10, scoring 29 for UNH, earning him a nomination as a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award as the top U.S. college hockey player. The Wildcats went 87-49-17 with him in the lineup and also qualified for the NCAA Tournament all four seasons that he was enrolled at the school. On March 24, 2010, Butler was recognized as the 58th recipient of the Walter Brown Award, which is presented annually to the best American-born college hockey player in New England. He was also selected as Hockey East’s Player of the Year, an All-Hockey East First Team honoree, the Hockey East Player of the month for November, the Hockey East scoring champion, a Hockey East Three Stars Award winner and a 2010 Hockey Humanitarian nominee for his efforts in the community. He recorded 61 goals, 60 assists and 88 penalty minutes over his four-year, 153-game collegiate career at New Hampshire.

On March 29, 2010, he signed a two year contract with the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League. He made his NHL debut with Ottawa on April 1 in a 4-3 shootout win against the Carolina Hurricanes. After attending the 2010 training camp, Butler was assigned to the Binghamton Senators. Butler scored his first NHL goal against Nikolai Khabibulin of the Edmonton Oilers on February 12, 2011 and recorded his first assist in the same game, on a goal by Milan Michalek.

Dave Andreychuk Tampa Bay Lightning Stanley Cup Championship Jersey

tt took Dave Andreychuk 22 years to do it, but at the end of the 2003-04 season he hoisted his first ever Stanley Cup with the Tampa Bay Lightning. He still holds the record for all time leader in powerplay goals with 274. This is one of my favourite jerseys simply because of Andreychuk's history in the NHL, and the fact that it represents his first and only Stanley Cup win.

In his 23 years in the NHL Andreychuk played 1,639 games and totaled 1,338 points (640 goals and 698 assists) which has hime tied with Denis Savard for 27th all time NHL point leaders. He is also the oldest played to win a Stanley Cup.

The Alexandre Daigle Collection

Leading up to the 1993 NHL Entry Draft, Alexandre Daigle was considered a "can't miss" prospect and NHL superstar in waiting. The Senators were even accused of deliberately losing games late in the 1992–93 season in order to guarantee the first overall selection and the right to draft him, which prompted an investigation by the league. When the expansion team finished last, it drafted Daigle over future NHL superstars Chris Pronger and Paul Kariya, who were picked second and fourth, respectively. Regarding his draft position, Daigle uttered the infamous comment "I'm glad I got drafted first, because no one remembers number two". Leading up to the draft, the Quebec Nordiques, who were hosting the event, were reportedly so eager to draft the next French-Canadian superstar that they were rumored to have offered names such as Owen Nolan, Peter Forsberg, Ron Hextall, and draft picks,[citation needed] but Ottawa management disregarded all offers. Daigle subsequently received the largest starting salary in league history (five-year, $12.25 million), which led to the introduction of a rookie salary cap a few years later.

Daigle bounced around the NHL and AHL playing for the New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers, Tampa Bay Lightning, and the Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL. He played for the Hartford Wolfpack, Manchester Monarchs, and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins for the AHL when he wasn't need on the NHL clubs. Daigle finally found a home in Minnesota playing for the Wild for his last 2 NHL seasons where he played what many sports analysts say were his best years.

After the NHL and AHL Daigle packed his bags and headed for Europe where he wound down his career playing in the Swiss league for an impressive three year run with HC Davos, The 2009-10 was Daigle's last year as an active hockey player (so far) being traded from HC Davos to Fribourg-Gotteron where he play 2 games then was traded back to HC Davos where he played 4 games and then finished out the season in Langnau playing 25 games. But, in those 31 games he tallied a very respectable 30 points earning him a spot on Tea Canada for the Spengler Cup.
